The spark was always you.
A speculative narrative campaign for Adobe Firefly that re-centers human creativity.
Strategic Evolution of Adobe Firefly's Message

A firefly has long symbolised illumination, discovery and possibility; a small spark glowing against the darkness.
This metaphor reflects the nature of creativity itself: unique and unexpected and often times arrives in subtle and quiet moments.
Like a firefly, every creator carries a distinct creative spark that may not always be visible, but has the potential to illuminate new ideas when nurtured and amplified.

I intentionally chose a quieter, more restrained visual direction than Adobe Firefly's typically vibrant aesthetic. Because this concept re-frames the human as the creative force, I wanted to minimise external colour and visual noise so the focus remains on the individual. The subtle illumination represents creativity emerging through the creator, while the Firefly shadow serves as a quiet visual reveal: The creator is the Firefly.
The firefly shadow serves a second hidden meaning; Adobe as a creative partner that has their back, supporting rather than leading the creative process.

The initial concept positioned Adobe Firefly as an external guide, a source of inspiration that appears ahead of the creator and illuminates the path towards an idea. While I felt the visual was strong and communicated the role of Adobe Fi as a creative catalyst, I felt the narrative could go deeper. As my thinking evolved, I wanted to explore the relationship between human creativity and AI, rather than simply showing AI leading the way. This lead me towards a more human-centred framing.

This campaign positions Adobe Firefly as a leader in the evolving relationship between humans and AI by shifting the conversation from what technology can create to who it empowers.
By centring the creator as the firefly, Adobe reinforces that AI is not about replacing human creativity, but about showcasing it.
This human-centred approach can strengthen trust, deepen emotional connection and make creators feel recognised and valued in an increasingly technology-driven world.
